NAHARLAGUN, Aug 5: A consultative meeting was held by the Ziro-Tai-Anando Bagan Highway Committee here on Sunday to discuss the proposed national highway (NH) from Daporijo to Dollungmukh via Dumporijo (125 km), which will connect to the NH-15 at Ananda Bagan, Assam.
The meeting, which was attended by Nacho MLA Tanga Byaling, Daporijo MLA Dikto Yekar, Dumporijo MLA Paknga Bage, Likabali MLA Kardo Nyicyor and Raga MLA Tamar Murtem, and representatives from Durpai and Dullungmukh and CBOs, endorsed the appointment of the technical consultant for the alignment of the highway, “considering the techno-economic viability with the shortest feasible path between the two points.”
The participants also took serious note of the deplorable condition of the road leading to Upper Subansiri district.
