Phassang promises to revive school

ITANAGAR, Aug 5: State BJP vice-president Tame Phassang on Sunday visited the pre-primary school in Abotani Colony here and assured the school authority of extending every help to make the defunct school functional again.
The school has reportedly been defunct for several years now.
The BJP leader said he was shocked and surprised to see a school located in the heart of the capital lying in a defunct state, especially at a time when Chief Minister Pema Khandu has given top priority to the education sector, said a release.
“It is very depressing to find such unhealthy scenario in a government school,” he said, and criticized the department concerned for not giving due importance to the school.
Phassang said he would pursue the competent authority of the state government to revive the school within three months.
He was accompanied by the party’s booth level committee members.
