PASIGHAT, Aug 6: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak on Monday reviewed the development of and the challenges being faced by school authorities in the district.
During a meeting here with DDSE J Yirang, principals, headmasters, ADC (HQ) Tatdo Borang, SP Prashant Gautam, HoDs and others, the DC stressed on quality education, advocated community participation to overcome hurdles, and asked the officers to involve themselves in adopting schools in their respective localities.
Many schools have already been adopted by the officers.
“We have to ensure that our concerted efforts and dedication bring some visible changes in the education scenario of the district,” Tatak said.
He said the adoption of a school should not merely be restricted to a few inspections but be targeted towards overall development of the school.
“Suggestions and ideas from the officers would give extra courage and guidance to the school authorities. Healthy criticism has always been a key for improvement as we always learn from our mistakes and shortcomings,” he said. (DIPRO)
