AALO, Aug 24: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Sode Potom on Friday conducted morning assembly of all branch officers and ministerial staff to ensure punctuality and work culture among various strata of the workforce in the administration.
He said the government has given specific direction to its machineries to ensure punctuality and imbibe work culture to improve the service delivery system and made it mandatory for all branch officers to conduct such assemblies twice a week, on Monday and Tuesday.
“Unpunctuality not only leads to pendency of official works but also affects the morale of punctual officials,” the DC said, and exhorted all the officials live up to government’s vision of an “absent-free state.”
“We should be able to sort out communication gap in case of urgency and emergency cases that crop up sometimes, and mutual trust and understanding should be built among all levels of the workforce to discharge our duties effectively,” Potom said. (DIPRO)
