TALI, Sep 9: The All Tali Area Students’ Union (ATASU) has urged the Kra-Daadi deputy commissioner to instruct the executing agencies and contractors to ensure completion of the PWD road from Kumey bridge point to Tali ADC HQ and construction of the bridge over the Kamala river at Tali at the earliest.
In a representation to the DC on 7 September, the union said both the bridge and the road, “which are very important projects to solve the road communication problems of entire people of Tali and Pipsorang areas,” should be completed within December this year.
It expressed resentment that despite submission of several representations for early completion of the two projects, the executing agency had failed to do so.
The union also apprised the DC of the various grievances from the villagers regarding lack of road link, electricity, ration supply, etc, which were received during the ATASU’s 13-day ‘mega educational tour-cum-public awareness programme’ on various development issues in Tali and Pipsorang circles.
