ITANAGAR, Sep 18: The semifinals lineup for the boys’ (U-17) state level Subroto Cup football tournament is complete.
In the semifinals, East Kameng will meet East Siang at 8:30 am, and Upper Subansiri will take on Changlang at 10 am at the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy playground in Chimpu on Wednesday.
East Kameng entered the semifinal, beating Kurung Kumey 5-1 on Tuesday.
Three-goal Poland Dona gave East Kameng a flying start, scoring in just two minutes. Bishu Tayem and Sonu Nangkhya scored the other goals.
Tadar Riaping scored the lone goal for Kurung Kumey.
East Siang beat Lohit 2-1 in the second quarterfinal.
Tamang Takoh and Nangku Tamat scored the goals in the 42nd and the 57th minute, respectively, for East Siang.
Lohit scored the lone goal through Ragulso Chitro in the 33rd minute.
Upper Subansiri defeated Papum Pare 4-1 in the third quarterfinal.
Tajo Yingme (9th min), Kulin Raji (10th and 59th mins) and Tajar Nibe were the scorers for the winning team.
Taba Bhai netted the consolation goal for Papum Pare in the 42nd minute.
Changlang beat Tawang 4-2 via penalty shootout and became the last team to reach the semifinals.
