Parbuk, Dambuk to get fire stations after police recruitment: DGP

ROING, Oct 6: The proposals for establishing fire stations at Parbuk and Dambuk and upgrading the Shantipur check gate to a police station will be fulfilled after the recruitment of police personnel, said DGP SBK Singh during a felicitation programme organised by the Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) district police here on Saturday.
Lauding the police force and the people of the district for maintaining peace and harmony, the DGP said,”The police personnel of the district have built a bridge between the police and the public, which has resulted in an environment of peace and harmony.”
Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi in his address said the Roing police have succeeded in bringing the police force closer to the public through various activities.He commended the district police for maintaining law and order and creating a peaceful environment.
Ex-officio chief advisor to the Arunachal Pradesh Police Welfare Society (APPWS), Dr Sushi Singh, said LDV “has shown itself to be a model district in terms of maintaining law and order,” and highlighted the activities of the APPWS.
DC Mitali Namchoom also acknowledged the contributions of the police force in maintaining law and order in the district. SP SK Sain presented a briefon the achievements and activities of the district police.
DSP Opir Paron and Nagrik Bhaichara Samity members Raja Linggi and Starson Saring also spoke.
The programme also featured felicitation of the teams involved in ‘Operation Kalapani’, ‘Operation Jamupani’, and ‘Operation Kundil River’ undertaken in the district in the past.
The district’s mobile patrolling unit was also flagged off during the programme, and the renovated APP Balwadi School inaugurated.
Among others, Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng, DIGP Mari Riba, police and security personnel, and government officers attended the programme. (DIPRO)
