Dist level committee meet on Arunachal Rising campaign

PANGIN, Oct 12: A district level committee meeting on ‘Arunachal Rising’ campaign for Siang district was conducted at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, here on Friday under the chair of Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk.
Addressing the members, the DC stressed upon devising a comprehensive and meticulous plan taking into consideration the local factors for the successful implementation of the campaign in the district.
Acknowledging the difficulties of being a new district in terms of shortage of officers, manpower and necessary infrastructure, he urged all members to put forth their best efforts and to render all cooperation and support in ensuring successful implementation of the campaign in the district.
Circle Officer Pebika Lego gave a briefing about the campaign to all members present.
Issues, namely identification of gram preraks for each CD block, identification of best performing Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), anganwadis and progressive farmers, identification of teachers to act as communicators of government programmes, identification of resource persons on central and state government flagship programmes from various departments, charting out a coordination plan for conduct of essay competition all over the district, holding of mass media campaign in the district headquarters, etc were taken up and extensively deliberated upon.
It was directed for boards to be formed by administrative officers in their respective jurisdiction consisting of various departmental officers as members for identification of best performing ASHAs, anganwadis, and progressive farmers in their jurisdiction.
All heads of departments were directed to designate a resource person from their respective departments to assist in dissemination of information about government schemes being taken up by their concerned departments.
All BDOs were directed to identify one gram prerak in their respective CD block.
Various other issues and queries on the campaign were discussed and addressed.
The meeting was attended by members from various departments, namely health, education, tourism, art and culture, ICDS, agriculture, horticulture, DRDA, veterinary and various works departments. (DIPRO)
