Tagak appeals stakeholders to help improve education scenario

NAHARLAGUN, Oct 13: Advisor to Chief Minister Tai Tagak emphasized on the roll of parents and guardians in improving the education scenario of state.
“The government is endeavouring to improve the education system. But, that is not enough to bring about a change in the education system. The public must come forward and assist and support the government towards the government’s endeavour,” said Tagak after laying the foundation for a 61-bed hostel and academic block of Abo Tani Vidya Niketan, Pachin near here on Saturday.
He also inaugurated sets of toilets for girl students.
Tagak advised the students to maintain cleanliness in everyday life and study hard to achieve the desired goal in life.
Department of Indigenous Affair Vice Chairman Kuru Tai lauded the teaching faculty and students of the school for maintaining cleanliness in the campus.
Senior BJP leader Techi Necha spoke about the importance of quality education in state.
Stating that the no-detention policy under the Right to Education Act has caused substantial damage to the quality of education in the state, Necha advised the students to work hard for a bright future.
The project also includes construction of boundary wall and toilets for the girl students.
Assistant Hindi Professor of Doimukh Government College Tai Tugung, Vidya Bharti state coordinator MN Chaturvedi, secretary Nabam Ruja, several BJP leaders and members of the RSS and other local leaders of the area were present on the occasion.
