ITANAGAR, Nov 21: The Nabam Welfare Society and Nabam Youth Association have deeply mourned the demise of Nabam Runghi, the pioneer of establishing Itanagar as the state capital.
Late Runghi, who passed away on Sunday, was born in 1935 at Bobia Village of Leporiang circle under Sagalee administrative circle.
The Bengia Welfare Society (BWS) also has condoled the death of Nabam Runghi, former Agency Council Member of Subansiri from 1969-1971.
In a release, BWS stated that Late Runghi has left behind a legacy of greatness which will be written in the golden pages of state history for years to come.
