YUPIA, Dec 7: The district and sessions court here in Papum Pare district has acquitted alleged accused Kino Tadap and Kino Para from murder charges in connection with Balijan PS Case No 13/2015, u/s 302/34, IPC.
Hearing Case Number No 25/2016 (u/s 302/201/120B/34 IPC), the court in its judgment pronounced on 6 December said: “Since the prosecution has failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt against the accused persons, therefore, under the provision of Section 232 of CrPC, this court considers that after taking the evidence of the prosecution, examining the accused persons and hearing the prosecution and the defence on the point, there is found no any evidence to prove that the accused persons committed the offence, thereby, the accused persons
Kino Tadap and Kino Para are acquitted from the charges of u/s 302/201/34 IPC and they are set at liberty.”
The trial of the case began on 9 May, 2016, and after more than two-and-a-half years the final hearing was done on 8 October, 2018, and the judgment was pronounced on Thursday. Advocate T Taba was the private defence counsel of the accused.
