NEW DELHI, Jan 7: Anganwadi worker Monica Arangham, who serves at the Russa Part 1 anganwadi centre in Longding district, was conferred with the National Award for Anganwadi Workers 2017-18 by Union Women & Child Development Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi at a function here on Monday.
Arangham received the award in recognition of her exceptional service in ensuring delivery of all facilities under the anganwadi services scheme, as well for as her initiatives under the Pulse polio immunization programme, and for her cooperation and close coordination with the local panchayat bodies.
