KAIMAI, Jan 10: Tirap Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon on Thursday inaugurated a waiting shed constructed at Kaimai village by the CRPF’s 36 battalion for bus passengers’ convenience.
“The bus waiting shed has been has been constructed under the CRPF’s civic action programme, following a request made by the people of Kaimai and other nearby villages,” the battalion’s Commandant, SR Behura, said.
The DC congratulated the people of Kaimai, and commended the battalion for its effort.
“Organising such civic action programmes in the remote villages will definitely improve the understanding between civilians and the security forces in the region,” Thungon said.
The locals, led by village chief Khamwang Lowang and GB Tawang Wangsu, also expressed appreciation for the CRPF’s civic action programme. (DIPRO)
