ROING, Jan 20: A two-day workshop on emerging technologies, themed ‘Internet of things (IOT) and flexible electronics’, organized here by the Roing Startup Hub (RSH), under the aegis of the Community Innovators Forum (CIF), concluded on Sunday.
The workshop was aimed at providing fundamental knowledge of the Arduino processor along with hands-on training on developing working models and prototypes.
The topics of the first day of the workshop included introduction to IOT, development of electronic boards and hardware, and software programming, while the second day featured demonstration of screen printing, introduction to preparation of ‘conductive ink’, etc.
Seventy students and teachers from Intaya Public School, the VKV and the government higher secondary school here were imparted training by Prashant Thapliyal and Brijesh Meena from the Guwahati (Assam) IIT during the workshop.
Earlier, CIF president RK Paul highlighted the objectives of the workshop.
The RSH is voluntarily mentored by professors from the Guwahati IIT, and is open to people from Roing and nearby areas who seek to develop their ideas into prototypes and to take them to the markets through handholding.
