AdiSU condemns legislators’ statements

ITANAGAR, Feb 24: The Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) has condemned the state government for its inept handling of the situation arising out of the large-scale opposition to granting of PRCs to non-APSTs.
The union also condemned the statements of Adi legislators in favour of issuing PRCs to the non-APSTs.
Describing their statements as “anti-indigenous,” the AdiSU demanded that they take back their statements and tender a public apology for making such comments.
Meanwhile, the union urged the state government to compensate appropriately the family members of those who lost their lives in police firing, and also to release the protestors detained by the police.
