NAHARLAGUN, Mar 15: Around 40 youths from the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) youth clubs and youth from different walks of life participated in a NYK, Itanagarorganised two-day training on youth leadership and community development programme which concluded at the Youth Hostel here on Friday.
During the programme, several experts and professionals including; 138 Battalion CRPF officer in-charge, PMKVY Naharlagun trainning master, Yogesh Sharma, social development expert, PMAY HFA (Urban) Jummo Potom, NSS programme officer, RGU NSS unit, Gomar Bassar and Arunachal Pradesh AIDS Control Society, Directorate of Health and Services Naharlagun Assistant Director, Koj Tara spoke on various issues related with the youth like child marriage and women rights, drug abuse and alcoholism, domestic violence and legal aid. They also spoke on issues like; promoting communal harmony, national unity and being Indian, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, social skills and leadership qualities, personality development and volunteerism, computer literacy and its importance and HIV/AIDS.
Later, certificates and sports materials were also given to the participants.
