CHANGLANG, Aug 4: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) organised ‘education and health hygiene awareness camps’ here.
During the programme, coordinated by the union’s women’s wing president Rosy Rangai, convenor Bengia Mopu and general secretary Kipa Yanu, the AAPSU team visited the KGBV in Amchong and the government higher secondary school here.
Rangai spoke about the need for quality education, and motivated the students to achieve higher goals in life, while Mopu spoke on health and hygiene, particularly about menstruation and reproductive health.
During the interactions with the students and the staffs, grievances like poor road connectivity, electricity issues, shortage of subject teachers, junior teachers being given the onus of teaching higher classes owing to unavailability of subject teachers, and shortage of sports kits for students came to light.
The AAPSU team also distributed sanitary pads and other articles among the students.
