Release national scholarships

Dear Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the matter of non-disbursement of national post- and pre-matric scholarships.
At the outset, I would like to ask some questions: Is it mandatory to stage dharnas and call for a rally to get students’ scholarships disbursed in our state? Every passing year, why do we have to place our grievances and frequently seek immediate disbursement of scholarships? Why do we need to seek help from student organizations in order to find a solution to the problem?
Many students like me have placed their grievances before the authorities concerned, but till date the process for disbursement of scholarships is moving at a snail’s pace. Many students have sought immediate disbursement of scholarships, so that they could bear the admission expenses and buy books. The authority must not forget that there are many students who are solely dependent on scholarships. There are some students who are striving hard to achieve their goals in life but are not able to perform well due to financial constraints.
Therefore, I earnestly request the authority concerned to initiate measures to eliminate the lethargy in scholarships disbursement, and urge it to disburse the scholarships without further delay.
I would also like to seek help from the fourth estate in this matter, since the media plays the role of a catalyst in deliverance of justice.
Sincerely,
Jumge Pale
