Indian Army grant aid to CALSOM school

HAYULIANG, Oct 25: The 222 Field Regiment of the Indian Army under Operation Samaritan has granted aid to CALSOM School here in Anjaw district.
The Commanding Officer Colonel Aditya Kumar Devrani presented the aid to the school authorities during a small function held here on 24 October.
Hayuliang ADC S Potom, who attended the function along with DMO Dr W Singh, lauded the Commanding Officer and other ranks of the 222 Field Regiment for providing aid to the students belonging to the economically weak families.
He urged the CALSOM to maintain good rapport with the Indian Army and involve them in the society’s various welfare activities. He further opined that this noble gesture of the Indian Army is just a beginning in their endeavour to reach out to the local populace.
The DMO spoke about the significance of health and hygiene to the parents and students present during the function.
CALSOM secretary Suraj Tayang highlighted the aims and objectives of the organization (CALSOM).
