Ering to support meritorious students

BILAT, Jan 29: Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering has taken the initiative to promote meritorious students of his constituency for building them up as human resources.
Ering, a former East-Arunachal MP, has taken steps to support ‘Coaching for IAS (Indian Administrative Services) examinations’ to five graduate and post-graduate students and sponsor coaching for at least 10 under-graduate students for crash course to compete Medical, IIT and engineering entrance examinations every year.
The MLA announced this during his visit to Government Higher Secondary School, here in East Siang district on Wednesday morning.
The sponsor amount is estimated to be more than Rs 12 lakh every year.
“I am hopeful that my effort will help meritorious students to fulfil their dreams and inspire them to serve the nation in the future”, he said.
Later, the MLA, accompanied by the local leaders, visited a site near Bilat circle office for setting up a ‘Mithun Research Centre’ which is sanctioned by the Central government under the ICAR project.
“Once the centre is set up, local people will gain huge benefits from it”, Ering hoped.
