RUKSIN, Apr 20: The GBs of Sille-Oyan circle in East Siang district have demanded that the state government immediately release their pending honorariums.
Oyan village GB Basansing Pao said the GBs have been facing hardship as their honorariums are not being released by the state government.
“We are not demanding any hike in honorarium. We are only demanding release of our pending honorariums to mitigate the hardship being faced due to the lockdown,” Pao said.
He said that, unlike the government officers and officials, the GBs are not rich or economically sound to manage their daily needs.
On behalf of the GBs, Pao appealed to Chief Minister Pema Khandu to look into matter urgently.
He also claimed that protective equipment like masks and sanitizers are not being provided to the GBs.
