More than half a year has passed since the declaration of the result for the posts of assistant professor (RUSA), and the selected candidates are desperately waiting for appointment since November last year.
Earlier, we were given verbal assurance by the director of higher education that our appointment would be done by January. In the hope of getting appointed on time, many selected candidates left their existing jobs, rendering us jobless for the last seven months.
Mysteriously, our appointment got inordinately delayed, which is playing mental and emotional havoc on us. Further, this kind of negligence by the government makes us think that the government is not serious about the development of higher education in the state.
We don’t prefer to go for agitation in the form of dharna or strike, despite utter grief, deep agony and frustration. Therefore, we earnestly request the government to take prompt action in this regard.
