KANUBARI, 28 May: Longding KVK Head (in-charge) A Kirankumar Singh visited a fall armyworm infested maize field in Longnakshi village in Kanubari circle of Longding district on Thursday.
Taking stock of the maize field of farmer Kapnai Arangham, Singh suggested “bio-control method as a precautionary measure to control the pest.”
“This is the initial stage of infestation and insects can be handpicked as a means of mechanical control,” he said.
