Kohima, Oct 4 (PTI) Single-day recoveries outnumbered new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland on Monday as 26 people were cured of the disease and 10 tested positive for the infection, a health department official said.
The fresh infections pushed the state’s tally to 31,322, he said.
Integrated Disease Surveillance Project State Nodal Officer Dr Nyanthung Kikon said six fresh cases were reported from Dimapur, and one each from Kohima, Mokokchung, Phek and Tuensang.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients in the state currently stands at 93.67 per cent.
Twenty-six people – 24 in Dimapur and one each in Kohima and Mokokchung- recuperated from the disease since Sunday, raising the total number of recoveries to 29,340, the official said.
The death toll remained at 666 as no new fatality due to the infection was reported for the third consecutive day on Monday, he said.
Nagaland now has 313 active cases.
Altogether 1,003 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states, he said.
Over 3.76 lakh sample tests have been conducted for COVID-19, Kikon said.
State Immunisation Officer Dr Ritu Thurr said 690,376 people have been inoculated till Sunday with 3,78,007 of them having received both doses of the vaccines.
