Animal health camp held

MEBO, 8 Sep: Seventy-six farmers participated in an animal health camp organised here in East Siang district by Pasighat-based College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF) on Thursday.

East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, who inaugurated the programme, advised the farmers and animal rearers to actively participate in such programmes, while CHF Associate Professor Dr Saroj Kumar Pattanaaik spoke on the benefits of the Arik Abik Lunom project.

Drs Neeta Longjam and Daniel Kakki apprised the farmers of vaccination and health management practices of reared animals such as pigs, goats, chicken, etc.

The farmers were provided with medicines, ointments, deworming tablets, antibiotics, nutrient supplements, etc, at the end of the programme.

Their animals were vaccinated with vaccines brought to the venue in an ice box.
