YOGONG, 30 Jan: Sixty farmers, along with GBs and PRI members benefitted from a ‘kisan mela-cum-awareness programme’ on soil fertility management, organised at Yogong village in Rumgong circle of Siang district by the agriculture department on Sunday.
During the programme, Rumgong Agriculture Development Officer Domo Ete highlighted the importance of the soil health card scheme, and urged the farmers to “come forward and connect themselves with the department for scientific knowledge in maintaining the fertility of soil.”
ArSRLM block coordinator Marpin Basar apprised the participants of soil fertility and soil sampling methods, and demonstrated the methods.
Yogong GPC Tapir Taggu also spoke.
