AALO, 9 Nov: Forty-two farmers participated in a training programme organised here by the West Siang KVK on Thursday, under the Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP).
During the programme, Basar (Leparada)-based ICAR NE research centre’s senior scientist (veterinary) Dr Doni Jini highlighted the importance of “livestock-based IFS and management of feed and disease,” while TSP Project Co-PI Dr Kangabam Suraj apprised the farmers of the importance of integrated farming system to increase production and productivity.
Inputs including 1,000 chicks, 1,250 kgs of poultry feed, 500 Khaki Campbell ducks, and medicines were later distributed among the farmers.
