LEKHI, 7 Mar: Ten NSS volunteers from Arunodaya University (AU) here won the third prize in the one-act play contest organised during the recently concluded 7th North East Youth Festival in Agartala (Tripura), organised by the Tripura youth affairs & sports department, in collaboration with the union youth affairs & sports ministry, from 26 to 29 February.
The university’s NSS team, which represented Arunachal at the festival, performed a one-act play on the theme ‘Say no to drugs’, highlighting the harmful effects of drugs on people’s lives.
On Thursday, the 10 NSS volunteers were felicitated by the university’s pro-chancellor Prof VN Sharma, in the presence of the university’s director Dr Suresh Verma, registrar Sohan Kr Jha, academic coordinator KK Jha, NSS coordinator MK Shah, and faculty members.
Earlier, on 2 March, Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Mama Natung had also felicitated the NSS contingent from the state.
