Editor,
APPSC has advertised 08(eight) posts of inspector (legal metrology and consumer affairs) under the department of legal metrology and consumer affairs on 23 July 2024, advertisement no.PSC-R(B)/14/2021 where in they have clearly mentioned that if the number of candidates are higher than the required ratio then they may go for recruitment test at first stage or if it is less there will be mains directly. The last date for the form filled up was on 23 August 2024, since then it is more than one month now and as per their tentative given date we have more or less one month left for the exam which is scheduled on 20/10/2024, but it is with utter surprise that still we are not being notified about the exam process whether there will be preliminary test or mains exam directly.
As APPSC is well aware that preliminary MCQ based exam and Mains (subjective) exam need separate and special preparation strategy, because in prelims we have only our own concern (technical) subject but in mains its include technical, General studies and English papers as per the method of exam given in the advertisement, so the delay in getting clear confirmation of exam process leads to a state of dilemma and confusion, and somewhere it also restraints us from effective focus.
Therefore, I would like to urge the APPSC to notify the process of exam as early as possible so that we can plan our preparation accordingly without any doubts.
