TIRBIN, 25 Nov: Leparada district administration has launched a special Aadhaar enrollment drive for students here on Monday.
The fortnight-long drive is being organized targeting students aged 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years for updation of their biometrics as well as to facilitate correction and new enrollment.
“As per UIDAI norms, children who got their biometrics captured during 0-5 years need to mandatorily update their biometrics during 5 to 7 years (first updation) and 15 to 17 years (2nd updation),” EAC M.N Taloh said.
The special enrollment drive will cover all the identified government schools in four circles of the district -Tirbin, Sago, Basar and Dari-in a phased-manner until 9 December.
The launch programme at Government Higher Secondary School here was attended by Leparada DC Atul Tayeng, DDSE, Tirbin EAC, BEO, GBs, teachers and students. (DIPRO)
