Plantation drive carried out

PASIGHAT, 16 Mar: Thirty-six delegates of the Arunachal Pradesh College Teachers Association (APCTA), in collaboration with the Eco-Clean Mebo Mission, planted saplings of ornamental tree species in Bodak village in East Siang district on Sunday.

APCTA joint secretary Hari Loyi informed that theplantation programme was organised to commemorate the ongoing general conference of the APCTA at JN College here. APCTA president Dr Dani Kacha, GS Dr Tadam Ruti and advisers Dr Jommi Loyi and Dr Leki Sitang also participated in the programme.

The event saw participation from local residents also, resulting in the plantation of numerous saplings across various locations in the village. The programme concluded with a brief talk on the importance of tree plantation by Dr Dani.

The local residents were provided with information on how to care for the saplings and monitor their growth.
