Editor,
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the scheduling of the upcoming assistant engineer (AE) examination being conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
It has come to the notice of many aspirants that the preliminary examination is being scheduled within a short span of time after the release of the advertisement. I would like to respectfully point out that, as per the past precedent of the APPSC examinations, there has generally been a gap of at least two months between the advertisement and the preliminary exam, which allows aspirants sufficient time to prepare effectively.
Furthermore, for the mains examination, a minimum duration of two-and-a-half months has typically been provided in earlier instances. This preparation time is crucial, given the comprehensive nature and depth of the mains syllabus.
In light of this, I wish to raise the following questions:
- What is the urgency in conducting the assistant engineer examination on such short notice?
- Why is the standard preparatory period being reduced, potentially compromising the preparedness of genuine aspirants?
- Will the commission consider rescheduling the dates to align with the fair timelines maintained in previous AE or similar competitive examinations?
I sincerely request the commission to uphold the principles of fairness and transparency by providing adequate time for preparation, in line with the commission’s own prior practice.
An aspirant
