Editor,
Through your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the state government towards the recent decision to bring new rules for teachers’ recruitment (PGT/TGT) as per the NCTE guidelines.
No doubt the Cabinet decision over educational reformation is a thoughtful move to uphold the teaching standards to bring about quality education in the state. However, abrupt and sudden changes in the recruitment rule in the midst of ongoing recruitment process will definitely disrupt the preparation process of serious candidates who have already gone through extreme mental tension and frustration due to the recent cancellation of the recruitment test (PGT) results conducted vide Advertisement No PSC-R(A)/15/2021, dated 3 February, 2022 due to the APPSC fiasco, because of which only poor aspirants like us had to bear the brunt for the mistake committed by some unscrupulous people.
Therefore we request the authority concerned to reconsider this decision and refrain from altering the PGT recruitment rules at this critical juncture, which I believe will only aggravate the situation further, rather than diffusing the tensions amongst the aspirants. I would suggest that new rules as per the NCTE may be implemented in the next advertisement in the near future.
I also request the authority concerned to clear this issue at the earliest, so that the aspirants may focus on their preparations without any confusion and anxiety.
