Editor,
We, the newly added candidates for the Arunachal Engineering Services (Mains) Examination, make this urgent and heartfelt appeal to the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA), and the Arunachal Frontier Tribal Front (AFTF).
On 18 September, the APPSC issued a notification including us in the zone of consideration and, at the very same time, fixed the mains examination for 28 September. This decision gives us barely nine days to prepare for one of the most crucial examinations of our lives. We ask with pain – why should the candidates suffer for mistakes and delays committed by the commission?
We are not asking for privilege or favour. All we seek is fairness, dignity, and equal opportunity. But instead of clarity and confidence, what we have been given is anxiety, confusion, and immense mental stress. How can a responsible institution expect justice to be served in such a rushed manner? If such haste continues, this examination will once again be clouded by protests and court cases – pushing aspirants further into uncertainty and despair.
The AAPSU has always been the apex guardian of students’ rights, the ANYA has stood firm for the Nyishi youths, and the AFTF has consistently fought for tribal welfare and justice. Today, we look to you with folded hands to intervene and ensure that the commission does not trample on the basic principle of equal opportunity.
Our humble appeal is simple: let fairness prevail. Give candidates a level playing field. Save us from being victims of the commission’s repeated errors. Hundreds of young lives and futures are at stake, and only your timely intervention can restore faith and justice in this process.
