RUKSIN, Sept 2: A kaccha house belonging to one Bijoy Padung of Rayang Moli village, Ruksin circle was completely gutted and all household properties were turned to ashes in a devastating fire which broke out from the kitchen at around 11:15 am on Saturday. The fire quickly engulfed the entire house and nothing could be salvaged from the inferno. Padung’s handicapped wife, Osi Padung was however, saved unhurt by the neighbours. She serves as a UDC in Ruksin ICDS office.
Fire tenders from Jonai (Assam) and Pasighat had rushed to the spot to douse the fire but most part of the house was already burnt before their arrival.
Meanwhile, Ruksin police and Magistrate have inspected the spot to assess the extent of loss incurred.
