DAPORIJO, Dec 14: Thirty-seven patients were operated on and over 200 were treated for various eye ailments during a three-day ‘eye screening-cum-surgery camp’ held here in Upper Subansiri district from 9-11 December.
The camp was organised by the Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee of Government IV School, Leya, in collaboration with RK Mission Hospital (RKMH), Itanagar.
A team of doctors from RKMH, led by eye specialist Dr Talum Sorum conducted the camp, which was sponsored by Austria-based Light for the World, an international disability and development organization.
