State BJP mourns leader’s death

ITANAGAR, Aug 17: Members of the state BJP in a condolence meeting at the party’s office here on Monday deeply mourned the untimely demise of senior party leader Tapa Dadi.

State BJP president Biyuram Wahge described Dadi’s passing away as a great loss for the party in Arunachal.

State BJP general secretary Nalong Mize, national council member Tame Phassang, organizing secretary Ananta Narayan Mishra, senior party leaders and office bearers attended the condolence meeting.

Dadi had joined the BJP in 2000 and held several party posts, including that of state BJP secretary (2018-20), vice president of the Upper Subansiri district Yuva Morcha (2000-2003), general secretary of the Upper Subansiri district BJP (2003-2012) and president (2012-18), the party informed.

Born in 1980 in Dadi village in Nilling circle of Upper Subansiri district, Dadi was also one of the founder members of the Mosing-Mosu Welfare Society (MMWS).

“He was an active member of the MMWS and his death is a great loss for the society in particular and the Tagin community as a whole,” the society said, and deeply mourned his death.

It conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
