AALO, 11 Jul: The Kargu Kardi Welfare Society (KKWS) and the Lodu Ao Welfare Society (LAWS) provided Rs 4.6 lakhs to the fire victims of Kunu Yami village in West Siang district on Sunday.
KKWS members scattered all over the state donated Rs 2,24,057, while the LAWS provided Rs 1,86,000, and the Kamba unit of the KKWS contributed Rs 30,500 in cash. The total amount of Rs 4.6 lakhs was handed over to the fire victims of Kunu Yami.
Members of the two bodies consoled the aggrieved families and encouraged them to come out of the distress arising out of the disaster that took a life and damaged properties on 7 July. (DIPRO)
