Mayor inaugurates DNLH’s new bldg for destitute

ITANAGAR, 11 Mar: Itanagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Tame Phassang on Friday inaugurated the newly constructed building for the destitute at the Deepak Nabam Living Home (DNLH) in Senki Park here.

The mayor in his address stated that “in addition to regular duties, IMC has dedicated this building for the humanitarian service rendered by the DNLH.”

He assured to extend more assistance to the DNLH in the days to come, and appealed to the people to help the organisation in any form. He expressed hope that the five-room building would help in accommodating at least 10 inmates.

DNLH chairman Deepak Nabam stated that the new building, constructed with the help of the mayor and the IMC team, would help accommodate the increasing number of inmates.

“There are more than 230 inmates from different states, even from Nepal, in the destitute home and the numbers are increasing every day,” Nabam said.

Among others, Deputy Mayor Biri Basang, IMC Commissioner Likha Tejji and Corporators Tarh Achak and Gyamar Taj attended the programme.
