PASIGHAT, 14 May: Fifty out of 57 families/landowners affected by the work under Phase 2 of the Northern Frontier Railway (NFR) project from 7 Mile to 2 Mile in Pasighat circle of East Siang district were given compensation cheques by the district administration here on Saturday.
The cheques were disbursed after verification of original Aadhaar cards, ST certificates, permanent resident certificates, bank account passbooks, etc, of the people who have offered their land for the project.
The compensation in Ruksin subdivision will be given on Sunday to 94 affected families.
Among others, DC Tayi Taggu, Pasighat ADC Tatdo Borang, DLRSO Kamin Darang, and NF Railway Deputy Chief Engineer Sitesh Das were present on the occasion. (DIPRO)
