ITANAGAR, 20 May: The Luminous Lummer Dai Literary Award for 2022 will be awarded to eminent poet and fiction writer Ajanta.
Ajanta, who resides in Arunachal Pradesh, also translates from Hindi, Bengali and English into Assamese.
“Her name was selected from a panel of non-APST writers residing in Arunachal Pradesh by a committee of jury comprising Sokhep Kri as chairman and Nomi Maga Gumro and Subi Taba as members,” the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) informed in a release.
The award carries a citation, a memento and Rs 10,000. It will be conferred on Ajanta on 1 June at the state guesthouse conference hall (near the old CM’s bungalow) here on the 82nd birth anniversary of Lummer Dai by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, APLS president Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi said.
