ITANAGAR, 18 Oct: The zonal rounds of the 19th edition of the Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament 2021-22 will be held from 12 to 14 November, the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) said in a release.
All the district football associations affiliated to the APFA have been divided into six zones, and two teams from each zone will qualify for the final round, which will be held in Ziro in Lower Subansiri from 3 December, APFA secretary Kipa Ajay said.
Kurung Kumey and Lower Subansiri being the winners of the previous edition of the tournament and the host of the final round, respectively, have been given automatic qualification for the final round.
“We are extremely pleased to announce the return of the prestigious tournament after two years. We are looking forward to seeing a better and improved display of football on the ground by our talented players from across the state in this edition,” Ajay said.
Funded by the Sports Authority of Arunachal, the tournament is being organised by the APFA, with support from the sports department.
