CHETA, 14 Nov: The annual felicitation programme for the topper students of the Idu Mishmi community was organised by the Idu Mishmi Cultural & Literary Society (IMCLS) at the community hall here in Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) district on Sunday.
Fifty-four Class 10 and Class 12 students (all streams), along with graduates and postgraduate students were felicitated during the programme.
LDV DC Saumya Saurabh interacted with the achievers and other students, and encouraged them to give their best to achieve their goals in life.
“Have a vision and work towards achieving it. Decide early on what you want for yourself and what kind of life you want. Dreams are always fulfilled. It’s just that we should work hard to make them come true. Step out of your comfort zone; only then will you be able to achieve your goals. It’s very important for parents to help their children in achieving their dreams. They should support and push their children, but at the same time, shouldn’t pressurise them. They should give their children a healthy and the right kind of environment to grow in,” she said.
The DC also invited the student community and their parents to approach her and her team of officers for any kind of academic guidance whenever required.
EAC Pime Keche said, “We not only need government officers but we need good entrepreneurs in our society too. Today there are very less government jobs and too many aspirants. So, do not get disheartened even if you do not land a government job for yourself.
“Work towards becoming a good entrepreneur, or whatever it is that you want to be. You can be successful in any field as long as you work hard. The world is your oyster, and with hard work, you can achieve whatever you want to,” she said.
IMCLS president Ginko Lingi and its general secretary Rao Dele also spoke.
Several dignitaries and senior members of the community attended the felicitation programme, along with the parents and guardians of the achievers.
