PASIGHAT, Feb 24: Three-day training on ‘Package of practices for commercial cultivation of Khasi mandarin’ was organized by the department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture & Forestry, CAU, Pasighat from 22 February.
At least 27 citrus growers from different places of Pasighat attended the training programme, where they were trained to take measures to solve the current declining status of citrus in the region.
Dr AK Pandey, Dean, College of Horticulture & Forestry, CAU urged the citrus growers to adopt new scientific methods of cultivation practices to double their income, and assured that the scientists of the institute are always ready to extend their help and technical know-how.
