YINGKIONG, 30 Dec: State BJP vice president Tarh Tarak urged the party’s workers in Upper Siang district to “refrain from rumours and strengthen the party activities at the grassroots level while maintaining unity.”
During a visit to the district BJP unit office here on Friday along with a team of state BJP leaders, Tarak highlighted the programmes and policies of the state and the central governments being implemented in the state.
“The BJP has always been committed to the principles of antyodaya and believes in the uplift of the last man in the society for the development of the entire nation,” Tarak said.
He handed over a ‘certificate of excellence’ to Upper Siang district BJP president in-charge Alum Litin, “in recognition of the services of the district BJP unit towards TB patient adoption and free health check-up programme during Seva Pakhwada from 17 September to 2 October this year.”
State BJP spokesman Techi Necha highlighted the significance of good governance, and the achievements of the central and the state governments.
The BJP team, which also included the party’s media department co-convener Nima Sange and library convener Porchu Tamin, also visited the BJP mandal office.
Later, the BJP team met Geku-Mariyang MLA Kanggong Taku and discussed political and economic developments in the district.
