Status of govt schemes reviewed

YINGKIONG, 9 Nov: The status of central and state government schemes in Upper Siang district was reviewed during a district-level monitoring committee meeting held at the DC’s conference hall here on Thursday.

Addressing the attendees, Upper Siang Seva Aapke Dwar (SAD) mentor secretary Liyon Borang called upon all heads of departments to participate in SAD camps “to provide maximum benefits to public.”

Commending the progress of developmental activities in the district, he advised the officers to “maintain work culture and ensure proper monitoring and timely completion of development projects in the district.”

Deputy Commissioner Hage Lailang, who presided over the meeting, urged the executing agencies to “ensure proper supervision for quality works and completion of ongoing projects in a stipulated time period.”

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Lumgeng Litin enumerated some projects “which are still lagging behind,” and requested the executing agencies to “speed up the project works in greater public interest.”

All HoDs of the district presented briefs on the status of the developmental schemes in their respective departments. (DIPRO)
