ITANAGAR, 29 Jul: The Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) hosted its annual Conclave 2024 at a private city hotel here on Monday, marking the 12th foundation day of the organization. The event brought together key stakeholders from the digital media industry, government officials, and aspiring entrepreneurs to discuss and explore opportunities in the digital age.
The theme for this year’s conclave, “Unlocking Employment Opportunities in the Digital Era: Leveraging Entrepreneurship and Government Support,” highlighted the critical role of digital media in creating employment and fostering entrepreneurship. Guests and speakers shared their insights on leveraging digital platforms and government initiatives to empower the youth and drive economic growth.
IPR & printing minister Nyato Dukam in his speech, lauded the organizers for hosting the event for the benefit of the youth. He underscored the vast entrepreneurship opportunities in the state and assured that the state government is committed to transforming youths into job creators rather than job seekers. He also advised the youth to be passionate about their ventures and to use government funding responsibly without misuse.
Addressing the memorandum submitted by the organizers, minister Dukam assured that he would pursue it and provide further assistance wherever required.
Speakers at the event included CEO & founding editor of Eastern Sentinel Jarpum Gamlin, chief manager Lead Bank Binanda Saikia, founder of Naara Aaba Tage Rita, founder of Oven Yumms Tumi Riba andfounder of Itamoto Pvt Ltd. Linkam Markia.
All the speakers advised upcoming entrepreneurs to maintain professionalism and work ethics, have long-term goals and plans, and ensure proper records and documentation. They emphasized not losing hope at every hurdle.
IPR & printing secretary Nyali Ete expressed hope for positive outcomes from the conclave and assured assistance whenever required.
AEDMA president J.T Tagam, in his address, highlighted the 12-year journey of AEDMA and the challenges faced. An audio-visual presentation was also screened in this regard.
