The dilemma of APPSC CSE and semester examinations

Editor,

The upcoming APPSC CSE examination presents a significant challenge for many students who are also preparing for their semester examinations. The clash between these two important events can create a stressful and demanding situation, particularly for those who are studying outside the state.

For students who are enrolled in colleges and universities, the month of December is typically dedicated to semester examinations. The pressure of preparing for both the semester exams and the APPSC CSE can be overwhelming, as it requires students to divide their time and energy between two crucial commitments.

Moreover, for students who are studying outside the state, traveling back and forth for both examinations can be logistically challenging and time-consuming. This added burden can further exacerbate the stress and anxiety associated with preparing for these important events. Many students may find it difficult to manage both examinations due to the time constraints involved, forcing them to make a difficult choice between prioritising their academic commitments or pursuing the APPSC CSE.

To alleviate the difficulties faced by students, it is essential to consider postponing the APPSC CSE examination to a date when students are free from their semester examinations. This would allow candidates to focus on their academic commitments without the added pressure of preparing for a competitive examination.

By postponing the examination, the APPSC can ensure that students have a fair and equitable opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities in both their academic endeavors and the APPSC CSE. This would contribute to a more positive and supportive environment for all aspiring candidates.

It is hoped that the APPSC chairperson will take note of these concerns and consider postponing the examination to a more suitable date. By doing so, the APPSC can demonstrate its commitment to the well-being of students and ensure that the examination is conducted in a manner that is fair and equitable for all participants.
