ITANAGAR, 31 Jul: Legislative Assembly Speaker Tesam Pongte said that taking care of mental and physical wellbeing is important while shouldering professional responsibilities.
He said this during a farewell ceremony for Dilip Sharma, Mechanic Grade-II, who retired from service on superannuation after 28 years of dedicated service. The programme was held at the Nokmey Namati Hall of the Assembly secretariat on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering, the Speaker congratulated Sharma on his retirement and expressed deep appreciation for his sincere contribution to the Assembly and to the state. He wished him a healthy and fulfilling retired life.
“Sharma’s commitment to his duties was exemplary. We should all draw inspiration from his sincerity. Alongside our professional responsibilities, it is equally important to take care of our mental and physical wellbeing. Health is the greatest asset a person can have,” the Speaker said.
Sharma began his service in 1997 as a driver, and rose to the post of Mechanic Grade-II, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues through his commitment and work ethic.
Earlier, Assembly Secretary Tadar Meena gave a brief overview of Sharma’s career. Congratulating him on his retirement, she emphasized the importance of pride and sincerity in serving the Assembly. (Speaker’s PR Cell)
