NALSA, SC launch special drive to settle pending cases

ITANAGAR, 8 Aug: The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Mediation and Conciliation Committee of the Supreme Court have launched a 90-day-long pan-India ‘For the Nation’ mediation campaign for swift and cost efficient resolution of pending cases.

The campaign, which started on 1 July, will continue until 30 September.

The categories of cases to be taken up include matrimonial disputes, accident claim, domestic violence, service matters, cheque bounce, commercial disputes, consumer disputes, debt recovery, partition, land acquisition, eviction, criminal compoundable cases, and other suitable civil cases, the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority informed.

The benefits of the special campaign are swift compromise and cost efficient resolution of disputes, it said.

The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) has advised people to contact the office of the APSLSA member secretary and the District Legal Services Authorities on or before 21 September for getting their cases listed.
